550d - Traditional Indian Treasure - Neli!

I looked for the design forever online but to no avail! I could not find a single image online! I have always loved the unique shape of this ring and wanted to give the design to the jeweller. Henceforth...for anyone else looking for it...

Do you know the significance of neli? Can anyone wear it? If you do have any pointers about it, please let me know.

This is the NELI ring typically gifted to a girl when she gets married by the maternal uncle. This is the custom in the southern Indian Iyengar community. The bride and groom make their marriage vow in front of Agni (the fire God) and go around the fire seven times after which the maternal uncle and his wife (No ritual is done without the wife) would slip this neli ring on the bride's finger and also present the bride with silver toe rings which the groom would slip on her second toe in each feet.
